Puyo Puyo Tsu is the second game in the series, released in 1994, three years after the prequel. There is more thought into this game than its prequel.
The game introduces the offset feature, which players can reduce the amount of garbage Puyo sent to the playing field or "send back" Garbage Puyo by generating chains. Tsu also introduces "margin time", a mechanic that, after a certain amount of time passes, steadily multiplies the number of Nuisance Puyo that are sent per chain. "All clear," obtained by clearing every single Puyo on the field, gives the player a Nuisance bonus on their next chain.
The game is also notable for being ported on various platforms besides arcade, such as Mega Drive, Sega Saturn, Super Famicom and Sony PlayStation. There are various modes exclusive to certain platforms, and both Sega Saturn and PlayStation versions feature voice-acting.

Endings
Normal Ending
If Arle uses continues during the gameplay to clear all levels, including the final battle against Satan, and doesn't reach the 180,000 EXP threshold, it leads to a false ending. After defeating Satan, the false ending displays this cutscene:
Arle: I did it! I won!
Satan: D, damn it...
Arle: Wha?
Arle: W, whoa! The ground's shaking! What are you trying to pull now, Satan?!
Satan: Ha-hahahaha! Now let us begin our romantic honeymoon under the starry sky!
Arle: Hey, no fair!
Arle: I won! I WON!!
Suddenly, Satan launches his castle spaceship, attempting to abduct Arle for their "romantic honeymoon" in space. However, the spaceship explodes. Arle uses a parachute to safely return to the ground. Satan, on the other hand, falls from space, injuring himself badly upon landing. Afterward, the scene transitions to Carbuncle, who gazes at the starry sky and full moon. Carbuncle yawns and drifts off to sleep. The credits roll.
Following the credits, another cutscene shows Satan, severely injured from the fall. His mask begins to flash red lights, indicating his defeat. This ominous effect is followed by a black background. The game then displays this message:
LET'S TRY WITH
"NO CONTINUE"
AND
"EXP MORE THAN 180,000"
BEFORE YOU MEET SATAN
Bad Ending
If Arle still don't earn any EXP to level up, even after beating an extra opponent (Masked Satan), it will lead to another false ending. Arle Nadja and Carbuncle are kicked out of the tower and the game is over. The credits roll.
True Ending
If Arle cleared all the levels without using continues and has EXP more than 180,000, including the final battle against Masked Satan, it leads to the real ending. Satan's mask is destroyed, and Arle is shocked, and revealed Satan's true identity. the game displays this cutscene:
Arle: I can't believe my eyes! The mysterious masked Satan is actually the beautiful, long-legged, Satan I already love! Who knew...?
Satan: Hehe, yes... Who knew, indeed...
*Arle and Carbuncle are fed up with Satan because of his actions towards Arle, and Satan is shocked.*
Arle: ...That was a lame disguise, Satan!
*Satan does the Dogeza because he failed to decieve Arle and got defeated in battle.*
Arle: C'mon, Ka-kun. Let's go home.
Satan (still doing dogeza): Wait! Wait... how do you know that I was Satan?
Arle: I told you I knew even before our battle, remember?
Satan (still doing dogeza): B, but...
Arle: Satan, I'm tired and i'm leaving. Buh-bye!
Satan (still doing dogeza, emotional pain from his failures and unfulfilled romantic plans): Wait! Don't go-!
Satan: Ka-kun, please don't leave me here!
Carbuncle (fed up with Satan): ......
After that, the credits roll.
