Puyo Puyo!! Quest (known as ぷよぷよ!!クエスト in Japan, commonly shortened to ぷよクエ) is a mobile Puyo Puyo game playable on iOS and Android systems. The game's first release was for iOS on April 24, 2013, and the game still receives frequent updates. It has also introduced many new characters to the franchise, such as the new characters present in Puyo Puyo Champions.
Gameplay
Basic Controls
Puyo Puyo!! Quest is unique in its gameplay as it does not fit in the "Falling Blocks" category like other Puyo Puyo games. The player can instead tap and swipe to erase up to 5 Puyo, creating a space for the Puyos above to fall into and possibly activate a chain.
Chance
During a Quest, the player may notice that one or more of the Puyos on their board are glowing, generated when a 6-chain is made. When popped, these glowing Puyos will activate a Large Chain Chance. When this happens, after the player's chain has finished, they will enter a mode reminiscent of Fever mode. The game will supply a chain that the player must activate by erasing Puyos. The player will only have one chance at this, and a new chain will not be supplied if they fail. After the Chance chain has completed, the sum of the player's chain and the Chance chain will equal the total chain.
